Samsung has launched its Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Pro Keyboard in North America following its quiet debut at MWC 2026. The aluminum keyboard case weighs 636 grams (1.4 lbs) and connects via pogo pins on the back of the tablet, eliminating the need for Bluetooth pairing or charging. The hinge design holds the tablet stable enough for direct touchscreen interaction while maintaining a laptop-like form factor.

The Pro Keyboard features a 14.6 percent larger trackpad compared to the previous generation, along with a dedicated AI key and three customizable function keys that can launch user-selected apps. Combined with Samsung DeX, the company's desktop mode for Android, the setup aims to function as a complete laptop replacement for productivity tasks. The keyboard is now available in gray and silver colorways.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra runs Android 16-based One UI 8 and supports Android's Linux Terminal app, making it the first MediaTek Dimensity-powered device to run command-line Linux tools natively. The current implementation supports terminal-based applications, though graphical Linux app support is expected in a future software update. This works alongside DeX when using an external monitor, allowing Linux Terminal windows to run in resizable windows next to Android apps. The tablet's locked bootloader prevents installation of custom ROMs like LineageOS, keeping users within Samsung's official software ecosystem.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Pro Keyboard is priced at $400 (€390) through Samsung's US and European online stores, though it can be found starting at $350 (€239) through other retailers. Canadian pricing is set at CAD $499. The keyboard works exclusively with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra through its magnetic pogo pin connection system.
