Honor's upcoming Magic V6 foldable has surfaced in leaked photos from what appears to be a commercial photo shoot, showing the device in a deep red color variant. The images, circulating on Chinese social media platform Weibo, show Hong Kong actor and singer Nicholas Tse holding the ultra-thin foldable ahead of its official unveiling at MWC 2026 on 2026-03-01.
The Honor Magic V6 marks a first for Honor, debuting globally before launching in China. The device will compete directly with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 200MP primary camera with 3x optical zoom. The foldable maintains the octagonal rear camera bump design from its predecessor while reportedly achieving an even thinner profile when folded. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 represents a significant shift for Linux enthusiasts, as Qualcomm achieved same-day upstream Linux kernel support for the chipset, with mainline patches covering CPUs, interrupt controllers, storage, USB, and audio subsystems already under review, though GPU and display drivers remain in development.
Rumored specifications include a 7,150 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, which would set a new benchmark for charging speed in foldable devices. Different variants are expected, with one model prioritizing extreme thinness while the Chinese market model will feature the larger battery capacity. The device is expected to become available in China sometime in March following Lunar New Year celebrations, with global availability details to be announced at the Barcelona launch event.
