Ulefone showcased a prototype rugged smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2026 that features an unusual twist on modular design. The RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro sports a 6.67 inch (16.9 cm), 120 Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 9,000 mAh battery. The standout feature is a magnetic action camera module that pops off the back of the phone and works as a standalone wearable camera.

The action camera attaches to the phone via magnets and connects through pogo pins, allowing the phone's display to serve as a viewfinder when docked. Users can review photos taken while the camera was detached and keep the module charged through the phone. Ulefone demonstrated hand grip and necklace-style mounting accessories for the detached camera, though the company hasn't released detailed specs for the camera module itself yet.

While Ulefone suggested the magnetic mount could support additional modules like telephoto or thermal cameras, only the action camera module has been shown so far. The RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro remains a prototype with no announced pricing or release date. The modular rugged phone concept follows a similar approach to Oukitel's 2025 WP300, which featured swappable accessories including a small display, camp light, and wrist-mounted components.
