pureLiFi has launched the Bridge XC Flex, a consumer-installable system that delivers up to 1 Gbps broadband internet through windows using LiFi technology. The system transmits data via invisible infrared light while simultaneously providing up to 25W of wireless power transfer, eliminating the need for outdoor cabling. Users can install the indoor and outdoor units themselves in minutes using weather-proof Gecko tape, with the system supporting single, double, and triple-glazed windows, including Low-E coated glass.
The Bridge XC Flex operates as a full-duplex, symmetrical connection with military-grade security that is virtually immune to detection and jamming. The outdoor unit receives power wirelessly from the indoor unit, which connects to mains power and accepts Ethernet input from any CPE equipment including 4G/5G FWA, fiber ONTs, private 5G, or satellite systems. The system features high tolerance to misalignment and works with various window types commonly found in residential and commercial buildings.
Beyond residential broadband, the Bridge XC Flex can extend WiFi 7/8 signals from indoors to outdoors for security cameras, backyard connectivity, and commercial applications in hospitality, events, and transport hubs. For ISPs, the self-install capability eliminates the need to dispatch technicians for installation. pureLiFi claims outdoor 5G CPE placement using Bridge XC allows FWA operators to serve up to 6x more subscribers with existing sub-6 GHz 5G infrastructure, with even greater benefits for mmWave deployments.
The Bridge XC Flex is available as a standalone system and as an embeddable module for CPE OEMs. pureLiFi is demonstrating the system connected to 5G CPE from Askey, Inseego, and Sonim at Mobile World Congress 2026. Pricing and availability details were not announced.
