Honor's upcoming Magic 8 Ultra has been spotted in regulatory filings with 120W wired charging support, a significant upgrade over the 100W charging found in the recently launched Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro. The device would pull more than 2.5 times the power of flagship competitors like the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, which all top out at around 45W or less.
According to 3C regulatory documents and leaker Digital Chat Station, the Magic 8 Ultra is certified to charge at up to 20V and 6A (120W), with fallback support for 66W charging at various power levels. The phone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with satellite connectivity and an OmniVision OV50R primary camera sensor. The device should also pack a battery larger than the 7,200 mAh cell in the Magic 8 Pro, making it one of the highest-capacity smartphones on the market.
The Magic 8 Ultra is expected to arrive in early 2026, likely after Xiaomi launches its 17 Ultra flagship. Honor has been building momentum with its Magic series, having released only the standard Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro models last month, but rumors of an Ultra variant have circulated since mid-2024.
