OnePlus has confirmed camera specifications for the upcoming OnePlus 15T, a 6.32-inch compact flagship smartphone launching on 2026-03-24. The device will feature a 50 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture using a 1/1.56-inch Sony sensor, paired with a 50 MP f/2.8 periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom capabilities.
The company shared sample photos taken with the OnePlus 15T on social media, though the images reveal some areas for improvement. Portrait mode edge detection appears to need refinement, with one sample showing incorrect blurring on portions of a hat worn by a subject. However, these first-party samples are compressed and shared via Weibo, so accurate assessment will require real-world testing.
Beyond the camera system, the OnePlus 15T packs a 165 Hz refresh rate display, a 7,500 mAh battery with 100-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging support. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and features IP66, IP68, and IP69K water resistance ratings. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 marks a shift in mobile Linux compatibility, as Qualcomm provided same-day upstream mainline kernel support at the chip's launch. Initial device tree patches cover core components including CPU power management, USB controllers, and storage subsystems, though full device-level Linux support for the 15T would still require bootloader unlock availability and additional community porting work. Pricing should fall below the OnePlus 15, which currently starts at $899 (€827).
