OnePlus has revealed a new magnetic cooling accessory designed to pair with its upcoming 15T compact flagship smartphone. The cooler features a notably slimmer design compared to the previous generation 27W magnetic cooler that launched with the OnePlus 13T, and early images suggest it will cover more of the phone's back surface for improved heat dissipation during gaming sessions.
The OnePlus 15T itself is shaping up as a feature-packed compact flagship. Company president Li Jie Louis has confirmed the device will pack a 7,500mAh battery despite its compact form factor, along with a high refresh rate display and the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The phone will also feature upgraded water resistance ratings, improved wireless charging capabilities, and a narrow-bezel screen design. The 15T marks a significant milestone for Linux enthusiasts, as Qualcomm provided same-day upstream mainline kernel support for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor at launch. The initial device tree patches cover CPU power management, USB, storage controllers, and thermal sensors, potentially opening the door for projects like postmarketOS if OnePlus maintains bootloader unlock support.
Pricing for the new cooler hasn't been announced, though the previous generation model launched at CNY 199 (around $29 or €27) in China. Both the OnePlus 15T and its magnetic cooling accessory are expected to launch in China sometime in March 2026.
