GMKtec has teased that its EVO T2 mini PC featuring Intel's flagship Panther Lake processor is set to launch soon. The company first unveiled the system at CES 2026 as its second-generation desktop AI supercomputer, but held back on specific availability details beyond a Q1 2026 window.
The EVO T2 packs the Core Ultra X9 388H, a 16-core processor manufactured on Intel's 18A process that delivers 180 TOPS of AI performance. The chip features four performance cores running at up to 5.1 GHz, eight efficiency cores, and four low-power cores, paired with the Arc B390 integrated graphics with 12 Xe3 cores. According to previous performance analysis, the processor outpaces Arrow Lake in efficiency and its Arc B390 iGPU handles most AAA games smoothly at 1080p resolution. For Linux users, the Arc B390 has been working well out-of-the-box with the open-source Mesa drivers on recent distributions, though full Panther Lake support requires Linux kernel 6.14 or later. The system also supports open-source AI frameworks including Llama, Qwen, Mistral, Ollama, LM Studio, and vLLM for local model deployment.
The mini PC supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory and offers two PCIe M.2 slots with support for up to 16TB of storage. Port selection includes a full-featured USB4 connection, 10G Ethernet, and an OCuLink port for external GPU expansion. The system can drive four 4K displays simultaneously and features multiple power configurations with support for up to 80W of dynamic TDP.
GMKtec's previous EVO-T1 model launched at $1,000 (€920). The company has not yet announced pricing or a specific release date for the EVO T2, though the new teaser suggests an announcement is coming shortly.
