GMKtec has opened pre-orders for its Evo-T2 mini PC, one of the first systems to ship with Intel's Panther Lake processors. The initial batch features the Core Ultra X7 358H, a 16-core chip built on Intel's 18A (1.8 nm) process node and paired with the Arc B390 integrated GPU. Pre-orders begin 2026-03-30 at 3 PM UTC, with only 50 units available in the first wave at a starting price of $1,839 (€1,692) after a $60 (€55) newsletter discount.
The Arc B390 represents a significant leap in integrated graphics performance. Testing shows the iGPU can match or exceed the Nvidia RTX 4050 Laptop GPU in some scenarios, delivering over 60 fps in demanding titles like Ghost of Tsushima at 1080p with high settings and XeSS upscaling enabled. The 12 Xe3 cores provide 1,536 ALUs and support for Intel's Multi-Frame Generation technology. For users who need discrete GPU power, the Evo-T2 includes an OCuLink port for external graphics expansion. Linux users will find the Arc B390 working out-of-the-box with Intel's open-source driver stack, including Mesa and the compute runtime, with recent benchmarks showing the B390 outperforming AMD's Radeon 890M in gaming and compute workloads.
The system ships with 64 GB (69 kg) of LPDDR5X-8533 memory and supports up to 16 TB (17.6 kg) of storage across two M.2 slots (one PCIe 5.0, one PCIe 4.0). Connectivity includes dual USB4 ports with 40 Gbps bandwidth and 100 W (110 kg) power delivery, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, three USB 2.0 Type-A ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, dual Ethernet (2.5G and 10G), and WiFi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4. GMKtec claims the dual-fan cooling system can sustain 60 W (66 kg) peak performance without excessive noise. While the Evo-T2 ships with Windows 11 Pro, Linux installation is supported for users who prefer open-source operating systems.
The Evo-T2 carries a higher launch price than GMKtec's Strix Halo-powered Evo-X2, though recent price adjustments to the latter make the Panther Lake model the more affordable option for now. The company has not announced availability for the higher-end Core Ultra X9 388H configuration.
