Xiaomi's gaming-focused sub-brand is preparing to bring its compact Black Shark Gaming Tablet to international markets. The 22.4 cm (8.8-inch) device packs a 2.5K IPS display running at 144 Hz with 600 nits peak brightness, powered by Qualcomm's 4 nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It marks Black Shark's first tablet to use Qualcomm silicon, a notable departure from the MediaTek chips found in previous devices.
The tablet ships with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, expandable up to 2 TB via microSD. Black Shark claims AnTuTu scores exceeding 1.9 million, positioning it firmly in flagship territory. The 7,300 mAh battery supports 20W charging and promises around 5.6 hours of gaming or 10.3 hours of web browsing. An optional magnetic cooler supplements the built-in vapor chamber cooling system, which covers over 25,000 square millimeters of thermal material.
Additional features include Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, DisplayPort output supporting 4K video, and dual stereo speakers with 3D spatial audio. The tablet runs Android 16 out of the box and weighs 332 g (11.7 oz) at just 7.7 mm (0.3 inches) thick. Available in black and silver finishes, pricing and exact release dates for international markets have not been announced.
