OnePlus has announced the 40W Super Ice Point Magnetic Cooler, a new gaming accessory set to launch alongside the OnePlus 15T in China later this month. The upgraded cooler attaches magnetically to the back of compatible phones and supports up to 40W of cooling power, which OnePlus claims can drop a phone's temperature to 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) in just 18 seconds. The new model builds on the previous 27W Freezing Point Magnetic Cooler that launched with the OnePlus 13T, offering significantly more cooling capacity for intensive gaming sessions.
The announcement comes just days after OnePlus revealed the Magnetic Ice Card Slim Cooler, another accessory designed for the upcoming 15T. The 40W model features a more traditional phone cooler design with LED lighting accents, and OnePlus is expected to include a clip for phones without built-in magnetic capabilities. Along with the cooler, the company will also release a Hole-Pattern Magnetic Case for the OnePlus 15T, which features a unique cutout matrix design that can be filled with small cube-like accessories for customization. The case includes a built-in magnetic ring for compatibility with the new coolers.
Pricing for the 40W cooler and the new case has not been announced, but the cooler is already available for preorder on the Oppo Shop in China. The OnePlus 15T is expected to launch in the second half of March 2026 with a 6.32 cm (2.49 inch) flat display running at 165Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 7,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging, and dual 50MP cameras including a periscope telephoto lens.
