Xiaomi has brought back its Black Shark gaming brand with a new compact Android tablet built around Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The Black Shark Gaming Tablet features an 8.8-inch display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 2.5K resolution, measuring just 7.7 mm thick and weighing 332 g (11.7 oz). The tablet combines aerospace-grade aluminum construction with laser-finished detailing.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset delivers AnTuTu benchmark scores exceeding 1.9 million according to Black Shark, with the octa-core CPU reaching clock speeds up to 3.0 GHz. The tablet pairs this with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, plus a microSD card slot for expansion. Cooling comes from a large vapor chamber, multiple graphene sheets, and a metal cooling structure, with an optional magnetic cooler available separately.
The 7,300 mAh battery supports 20 W charging and delivers up to 5.6 hours of continuous gaming according to Xiaomi's testing. Connectivity includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, and DisplayPort output supporting 4K video. The tablet ships with Android 16, dual speakers with a K9 smart amplifier, a 13 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP front camera.
The Black Shark Gaming Tablet is available now through the brand's global store with worldwide shipping, including the US. Pricing stands at $671 (€636) with import charges included, or £559 in the UK. Xiaomi includes a 20 W power adapter, protective case, charging cable, and microSD ejector tool in the box. The tablet comes in black and silver color options.
