RedMagic has unveiled the 11S Pro and 11S Pro+ in China, a mid-cycle refresh that puts an overclocked silicon at the center of the pitch. Both gaming phones run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version, a tuned variant of Qualcomm's current flagship SoC with Prime cores clocked at 4.74GHz instead of the standard 4.6GHz. That matches the frequency of the "for Galaxy" version powering the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, with the key difference being that RedMagic backs the chip with active cooling rather than relying on a passive thermal stack.

The new "Wind Chaser 4.0" fan spins up to 24,000 RPM and is rated for IPX8 water resistance, paired with liquid metal thermal compound, a large vapor chamber, and a redesigned air duct. It remains to be seen whether the refresh addresses the power profile behavior flagged by UL Solutions in the non-S series earlier this cycle, but the hardware story is otherwise about pushing sustained clocks harder for longer in mobile gaming sessions.

The rest of the spec sheet largely mirrors the non-S lineup. Both models use a flat 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The 11S Pro carries an 8,000mAh battery, while the Pro+ drops to 7,500mAh to accommodate its onboard liquid cooling loop. Both phones support 120W wired fast charging. The standard 11S Pro tops out at 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Pro+ scales up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The RedMagic 11 Pro, the direct predecessor on the same hardware platform, has cultivated an active following on XDA Forums, where developers have published bootloader unlock guides and KernelSU root support. An open-source hardware control app on GitHub provides rooted users with direct sysfs access to fan speed, RGB LEDs, shoulder triggers, and the liquid cooling pump. The 11S Pro as a mid-cycle refresh on the same platform is a natural candidate for similar treatment, though community tooling specific to the new model has not yet been confirmed.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 5,499 for the 11S Pro, roughly $807 (€745), and CNY 6,199 for the Pro+, roughly $910 (€835). Global availability has not been announced, though RedMagic typically follows its domestic launches with an international release within a few months.
