Xiaomi has released the Pad 8 tablet globally after its initial launch in China last September. The device arrives alongside the higher-end Pad 8 Pro and brings a significant performance upgrade over its predecessor with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, delivering around 40% better performance compared to the Pad 7's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.

The Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch IPS display with a 3.2K resolution (2,960 x 1,920), a 144 Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness. Powering the tablet is a 9,200 mAh battery with support for 45 W wired charging and 22.5 W reverse charging. The device ships with 12 GB of RAM paired with either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, and includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a 13-megapixel rear camera.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 starts at €450 ($532) for the 128 GB model in the Eurozone, with the 256 GB configuration priced at €500 ($591). Both versions are available at a €50 discount until 2026-03-14. Xiaomi is also offering Focus Pen Pro and detachable keyboard accessories for the Pad 8, though these are sold separately unlike the Pad 8 Pro which bundles them as promotional gifts.
