TCL has launched the 32X3A, a 31.5-inch OLED gaming monitor that balances elegance with performance. The display features a 4K resolution at 240 Hz refresh rate, or can switch to 1080p at 480 Hz for competitive gaming where frame rates matter more than visual fidelity. The OLED+ panel uses multi-layer technology and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with TCL claiming a matrix pixel arrangement that improves text clarity over typical OLED displays.
The monitor's standout feature is its remarkably thin profile, measuring just 6.4 mm (0.25 inches) at its thinnest point, though the area around the stand expands to 35.8 mm (1.4 inches). A Bang & Olufsen-tuned speaker system is integrated into the base, though exact specifications remain undisclosed. The OLED panel delivers the technology's signature benefits including true blacks, near-instant response times, and effectively infinite contrast ratios.
Connectivity options include DisplayPort 2.1, dual HDMI 2.1 ports, USB-C with 90W power delivery, dual USB-A ports, and a single USB-B port. For Linux users, the DisplayPort 2.1 connection is the recommended choice, as Intel engineers are actively working on DisplayPort Alt Mode 2.1 support for the Linux kernel, while HDMI 2.1 remains limited on AMD GPUs due to ongoing specification access restrictions. The TCL 32X3A is priced at 5,999 Yuan ($871 or €801) in China, with no confirmed international launch yet. For comparison, the similarly specced Asus ROG Swift PG32UCDP currently sells for $1,299 (€1,195).
