Oppo has unofficially unveiled its compact Pad Mini tablet through a TikTok post from Qiao Jiadong, the company's Director of Smart Ecosystem Products. While the social media reveal skipped official specs, earlier leaks from tipster Digital Chat Station paint a picture of what could be the most powerful compact tablet on the market, with an expected launch in April 2026 alongside Oppo's spring product lineup.

The Oppo Pad Mini reportedly features an 8.8-inch (22.4 cm) custom OLED display with a high refresh rate and 2.5K resolution, putting it in direct competition with the Huawei MatePad Mini. The aggressive spec sheet continues with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, an unusual choice for a mini tablet that suggests serious performance ambitions. Camera duties fall to an 8 MP front sensor and 13 MP rear shooter, fairly standard fare for the category.

The standout specification is the leaked 8,000 mAh battery, which dwarfs the pack in Apple's iPad Mini 7 by 60 percent and significantly outpaces the Huawei MatePad Mini's 6,400 mAh cell. This capacity hints that Oppo may be using its silicon-carbon electrode technology from the Find series of flagship phones, the same tech that has delivered exceptional battery life in devices like the Find N6 foldable. The device will support 67W fast charging and come in configurations ranging from 8GB RAM with 256GB storage up to 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, available in Monet Purple, Dawn Gold, and Mocha Brown.

The Pad Mini fits into Oppo's packed April schedule, which includes the K15 Pro series, Watch X3 Mini, Enco Clip 2 earbuds, and the flagship Find X9 Ultra. Pricing has not been announced, though the combination of flagship processor, large battery, and OLED display suggests positioning above budget compact tablets.
