Lenovo has teased its upcoming Xiaoxin Pro 13 tablet, a non-GT variant that appears positioned as a more productivity-focused alternative to the recently announced gaming-oriented Xiaoxin Pro GT 13. While Lenovo has not confirmed full specifications, the device is expected to share the same 33.3 cm (13-inch) display with 3,504 x 2,190-pixel resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate as its GT sibling. The company has also suggested the tablet may feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the same sub-flagship processor found in devices like the OnePlus 15R.
The most detailed information Lenovo has released concerns the tablet's stylus capabilities. The Stylus Pro accessory supports 8,182 pressure levels with 1 ms latency and features a 1.4 mm (0.055 inch) fine tip for precision work. Additional features include magnetic charging, a built-in eraser mode, and what Lenovo describes as realistic sound effects, though the underlying stylus technology remains unspecified.
For open-source enthusiasts, the chipset choice carries implications beyond raw performance. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (receiving upstream Linux kernel patches) does not support non-protected virtual machines, preventing the tablet from running full Linux desktop applications through Android's Linux Terminal feature. While earlier Xiaoxin Pad models have seen community development including postmarketOS support for the 2021 version, the Pro 13's compatibility with alternative operating systems remains unclear ahead of launch.
Lenovo has not announced pricing or a specific release date for the Xiaoxin Pro 13, though the tablet is expected to launch in March 2026. The device represents Lenovo's continued expansion of its tablet lineup in the Chinese market, where the Xiaoxin brand targets consumers seeking capable Android devices for both productivity and entertainment.
