Cerebro Clusterboard Offers Support for Multiple Compute Modules in Upcoming Crowdfunding Campaign

The Cerebro clusterboard, developed by Sparklab Solutions, is designed to support up to four compute modules, including Raspberry Pi CM4 and CM5, NVIDIA Jetson NX, or Radxa CM5. This innovative board facilitates parallel processing, making it ideal for various computing projects.

A preview page for an upcoming Kickstarter campaign has been launched, offering early backers the opportunity to reserve a Cerebro board for €429 (approximately $488). While the initial offer is limited to the first 200 backers, details on the regular crowdfunding price and estimated shipping dates remain undisclosed.

The Cerebro clusterboard boasts several features, including:

  • 13 x M.2 slots for storage, wireless modules, and AI accelerators
  • HDMI, USB 3.1 Gen 2, and USB 2.0 multiplexer for shared access across modules
  • Onboard Gigabit VLAN managed switch
  • 2 x RJ45 connectors
  • 4 x fan connectors
  • 1 x microSD card slot
  • 1 x nano SIM card holder
  • 40-pin Raspberry Pi HAT compatible I/O header
  • Lockable I/O headers (5x series, 5 x SPI, 5 x I2C, 1 x GPIO)
  • Real Time Clock and status LEDs for power and LAN activity
  • Support for up to 72V power input
