Texas Instruments' AM62A and AM68A vision processors have been available since 2023, but boards built around them have mostly been expensive evaluation kits aimed at silicon validation rather than hands-on development. InHand Networks is changing that with the Mo 62A and Mo 68A, two SBCs that squeeze TI's edge AI silicon into the standard 85 x 56 mm (3.3 x 2.2 in) Raspberry Pi form factor, complete with a 40-pin HAT-compatible GPIO header. Both boards ship with a Debian 13.2 (Trixie) image built on Linux 6.12 via the Armbian framework, and InHand has published software and documentation on GitHub.

The Mo 62A is the entry-level option, built around the AM62A74 with four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.4 GHz and a C7xV deep learning accelerator delivering 2 TOPS. It offers up to 8 GB of LPDDR4, micro HDMI output, four USB 2.0 ports, a single 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 camera connector, and 4Kp30 H.264/H.265 encode and decode. The Mo 68A is a significant step up: dual Cortex-A72 cores at 2.0 GHz, 8 TOPS of AI acceleration, an Imagination BXS-4-64 GPU, four USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort output, dual MIPI CSI/DSI connectors, a PCIe Gen 3.0 FFC connector matching the Raspberry Pi HAT+ standard, an onboard RTC with backup battery, and 4Kp60 codec support. Board photos suggest a 16 GB memory option may also be in the works.

On the software side, both boards run TI's TIDL AI runtime with support for TFLite and ONNX model formats, alongside Python, C/C++, OpenCV, GStreamer, and TI's EdgeAI SDK. The AM62A and AM68A platforms also have Edge Impulse integration for low-code model development, and TI's open source robotics SDK supports both processors with ROS-based workflows. Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, microSD storage, and 5V/5A USB-C power are shared across both models.

InHand Networks is primarily a B2B company, and neither board has announced pricing or retail availability yet. Hardware documentation for the Mo 68A is available on GitHub, though a software repository for it has not yet been published. Additional details can be found in the press release.
