Honor has launched the Pad X8b, a new budget Android tablet that features an 11-inch display and metal construction but relies on the Snapdragon 680 processor from October 2021. The tablet debuted in Saudi Arabia with a retail price of $226 (€208), though Honor is currently offering it for $173 (€159).

The Pad X8b measures 7.25 mm (0.29 inches) thick and weighs 496 g (1.09 lbs). Its 11-inch IPS LCD panel runs at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels with a 90 Hz refresh rate and carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free viewing. The tablet ships with 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage expandable via microSD, and runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

The Snapdragon 680 chipset powering the Pad X8b previously appeared in the Honor Pad 8 from 2022 and various other budget tablets like the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE. The tablet includes a 10,100 mAh battery, quad speakers, dual 5 MP cameras front and rear, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Honor has not announced availability outside Saudi Arabia.

The company plans to launch its flagship MagicPad 4 tablet globally in the coming months.
