Hisense is set to launch its new UX RGB MiniLED TV in China on 2026-03-05, making it the first model from the brand to feature its RGB MiniLED evo technology with a four-core backlight. The launch event will also introduce a series of customized products tied to its World Cup 2026 sponsorship.
The new RGB MiniLED evo technology adds a cyan light source to the traditional red, green, and blue LEDs, creating a four-primary backlight architecture. This addition targets the part of the spectrum where human vision is most sensitive to subtle changes, allowing the TV to render gradients and tonal transitions with greater nuance. The technology delivers 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut and features the Hisense Hi-View AI Engine RGB for precise 134-bit color control. Cyan also helps reproduce more lifelike skies, water, and cyan-green tones while reducing harmful blue light by up to 80%.
Hisense first demonstrated this technology at CES 2026 on the flagship 116UXS RGB-X MiniLED TV, a 295.7 cm (116 inch) model that showcases the full potential of the four-color backlight system. The company also announced plans to expand the technology across more accessible models in its UR9 and UR8 series, ranging from 139.7 cm to 254 cm (55 to 100 inches).
Pricing for the UX RGB MiniLED TV in China has not yet been revealed. The brand has also not confirmed the global release date or pricing for the 116UXS RGB-X MiniLED TV.
