GMKtec has confirmed that its Evo-T2 mini PC featuring Intel's powerful Core Ultra X9 388H processor will launch on 2026-03-12. The system, which was showcased at CES 2026, represents one of the first consumer mini PCs to use Intel's Panther Lake platform built on the company's advanced 18A process node.
The Core Ultra X9 388H at the heart of the Evo-T2 packs 16 cores split between 4 Cougar Cove P-cores (up to 5.1 GHz), 8 Darkmont E-cores, and 4 Darkmont LP E-cores. The real standout is the integrated Arc B390 GPU with 12 Xe3 cores running at up to 2.5 GHz, which delivers graphics performance roughly 60% faster than AMD's Radeon 890M and matches desktop RTX 3050 levels in gaming workloads. The system also brings 180 TOPS of AI performance and supports up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 16 TB of storage across PCIe Gen 5.0 and 4.0 NVMe slots. For Linux users, the Arc B390 works well with Intel's open-source Mesa drivers on recent distributions, though full Panther Lake support requires Linux kernel 6.14 or later.
Connectivity options include dual Ethernet (2.5G and 10G), USB4 with 40 Gbps bandwidth and 100W power delivery, and OCuLink support for external GPU setups. GMKtec will offer the Evo-T2 in multiple configurations, including models with the Core Ultra 5 338H and Core Ultra X7 368H for those who don't need the flagship X9 chip. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, though given the premium specs and recent pricing of similar high-end mini PCs, the Evo-T2 will likely command a significant premium when it becomes available.
