Bazzite, the immutable Linux gaming distribution built on Universal Blue, pushed a small point release to its unstable channel on 2026-04-02, tagging unstable-43.20260402.1 with two targeted bug fixes on top of the day's earlier build.

The fixes address a permissions issue in bazzite-hardware-setup and a missing import in the Sunshine streaming setup justfile, both contributed by Alex Shek. While the changes are minor, the unstable channel continues to carry a substantial stack of recent component versions, including Linux kernel 6.19.10, Mesa 26.0.3, and Gamescope 137 for its gaming session. Desktop environments are represented by GNOME 49.6 and KDE Plasma 6.6.3, with InputPlumber 0.75.2 and OpenGamepadUI 0.45.0 handling gamepad input and the handheld interface layer respectively.

Nvidia users on the unstable branch have access to both the open kernel module at 595.58.03 and the LTS driver at 580.142. Users already on the unstable channel can rebase to this specific image using bazzite-rollback-helper rebase unstable-43.20260402.1, or simply track the latest unstable build going forward.
