Bazzite, the Fedora-based Linux gaming distribution, released unstable build 43.20260331 on 2026-03-31 with several significant changes. The most notable update is the removal of the Sunshine game streaming package from all Bazzite images, with developers citing six months of unresolved compatibility issues with Fedora 43 in the stable repository.

The release bumps OpenGamepadUI from version 0.44.3 to 0.45.0 and updates Gamescope to build 136.402bfb81. Other changes include updated fcitx5 input method components across KDE images (fcitx5 5.1.19, fcitx5-configtool 5.1.13), GNOME 49.6, and KDE 6.6.3. The distribution now runs Linux kernel 6.19.8 with Mesa 26.0.3 for graphics support.

Bazzite also dropped the cec-control package as CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) functionality is now handled by SteamOS-Manager. The build includes fixes for OCR functionality in the unstable branch and adds Android Studio support to Bazaar's JetBrains integration. Users can rebase to this version using the bazzite-rollback-helper command.
