The Bazzite project has pushed out stable release 44.20260501, the latest incremental update to the Universal Blue spin built around SteamOS-style gaming on a Fedora Atomic base. The release moves the kernel to 6.19.11-ogc1.1 and bumps Mesa to 26.0.5-1, keeping the graphics stack current for both AMD and Intel GPUs running modern titles through Proton.
Gamescope advances to build 137.7c5ebe99-1, while NVIDIA users on the open driver track jump from 595.58.03 to 595.71.05. The long-term-support NVIDIA branch holds at 580.142. Desktop environments come in at GNOME 50.1 and KDE Plasma 6.6.4, and the storefront frontend Bazaar ticks up to 0.7.15.
The commit log is short this cycle. A merged change (#4785) temporarily disables the dx kickoff path, #4788 hides the MakeMKV desktop entry, and #4782 restores the restartto GNOME extension. On the package side, the build adds kmod-kvmfr for Looking Glass VFIO workflows, refreshes cockpit-files to 40, cockpit-podman to 125, OpenSSH to 10.2p1-9, OpenVPN to 2.7.3, and drops openh264 from the image set. Firmware moves to the 20260410 snapshot and ublue-os-just advances to 0.54.
