Bazzite, the gaming-focused Fedora Atomic desktop built by Universal Blue, has shipped its latest stable image with a fix for Steam window behavior and a batch of component updates. Release 43.20260420 bumps Mesa to 26.0.4-2 and refreshes several bundled GNOME Shell extensions, while the core stack remains on Linux kernel 6.17.7, GNOME 49.6, KDE 6.6.4, and Nvidia driver 595.58.03.

The most notable change in this release is a fix for window rules that were causing incorrect Steam behavior, a pain point for users running the KDE desktop. The bundled "Add to Steam" extension also received an update, and multiple GNOME Shell extensions, including Blur My Shell, Desktop Cube, AppIndicator Support, and Block Caribou, were refreshed to their latest commits.

On the infrastructure side, container tooling picked up minor version bumps with Podman moving to 5.8.2, Buildah to 1.43.1, and Skopeo to 1.22.2. The Sunshine game streaming server, Cockpit web console, and glib2 were also updated. Existing users can move to this image by running bazzite-rollback-helper rebase 43.20260420 or simply rebasing to the stable branch.
