AOC has officially launched the AGON Pro AGP277QK gaming monitor in China, bringing a 27-inch (68.6 cm) Fast IPS panel with a native 2560 x 1440 resolution and 540Hz refresh rate. The standout feature is a dual-mode function that allows gamers to drop to 720p HD resolution while boosting the refresh rate to an extreme 1000Hz. This makes it the second monitor in the AGON Pro lineup following the AGP277QKD OLED model announced in January 2026, and arrives alongside the similar Philips M2N5500XD that launched earlier this month.
The AGP277QK features a 1ms G2G response time specification (0.3ms MPRT), 2000:1 contrast ratio, and 350 nits brightness in SDR mode with a peak of 500 nits for VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. The panel covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 95% DCI-P3, with factory calibration to Delta E less than 1. Gaming features include adaptive sync for variable refresh rate support, low input lag mode, dynamic crosshair, dark area control, and frame counter. The stand offers full tilt, height, swivel, and rotate adjustments, plus RGB ambient lighting controlled through AOC's G-Menu software.
Connectivity includes 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20), and 3x USB 3.2 Type-A ports, along with dual 5W speakers and a headphone jack. The monitor supports picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes for handling multiple input sources. However, questions remain about whether Fast IPS LCD technology can actually deliver sub-1ms pixel response times consistently at 1000Hz, particularly compared to OLED panels that have dominated ultra-high refresh rate gaming displays.
The AGP277QK has only appeared on the Chinese market so far with no pricing or wider release dates announced yet.
