AAEON has unveiled the COM-ARHC6, a COM Express Type 6 Compact module powered by Intel's Arrow Lake-H processors. The flagship configuration uses the 16-core Core Ultra 9 285H, delivering up to 99 TOPS of AI performance for demanding edge applications like diagnostic imaging and automated optical inspection systems.

The 9.5 x 9.5 cm (3.7 x 3.7 inches) module packs serious hardware: two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 128GB of DDR5-6400 memory, an optional 256GB NVMe SSD soldered directly to the board, and Intel's I226 2.5GbE controller. For vision applications, dual MIPI CSI connectors sit on the module itself, while the standard COM Express pinout exposes up to four independent displays through HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and LVDS or eDP outputs. PCIe 4.0 connectivity includes an x8 slot plus two x4 slots, with USB 3.2 Gen 2 and SATA III rounding out the I/O.

AAEON claims the Arrow Lake upgrade delivers 19.6% faster CPU performance and 20.3% better GPU throughput compared to the previous Meteor Lake-based COM-MTHC6. The company supports both Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04 with Linux 6.11. Alongside the module, AAEON introduced the ECB-920A-A11 evaluation carrier board in ATX form factor, featuring a PCIe x16 slot, four SATA ports, and extensive display connectivity for testing.

Pricing for the COM-ARHC6 has not been announced, but the previous Meteor Lake modules ranged from $700 (€645) to $924 (€850). The evaluation carrier board sells for $485 (€445). Full documentation and drivers are available on AAEON's product page.
