Zinwa has spent years building BlackBerry-style Android phones by literally gutting old BlackBerry hardware and swapping in new mainboards. The Zinwa Q27 is the company's first fully custom design, with a new case, mainboard, and components built from scratch rather than repurposed parts. It is now open for pre-order starting at $420 (€385), though no ship date has been announced.
The Q27 places a 10.0 cm (3.9-inch) 1080 x 1240 AMOLED display above a physical thumb keyboard in a form factor that closely echoes the BlackBerry Classic. Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a 4nm mid-range 5G chip with four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs Android 16 with full Google Mobile Services support.
Connectivity covers WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual-SIM support via a nano-SIM slot and eSIM. The 4,000 mAh battery charges at 33W over the USB 2.0 Type-C port or 15W wirelessly. A 50MP rear camera, 16MP front camera, microSD expansion, and notification LED round out the spec sheet. The Q27 measures 14.0 x 7.4 x 1.1 cm (5.5 x 2.9 x 0.4 inches), weighs 192 grams (6.8 ounces), and comes in black or white.
