For smart home enthusiasts building around Home Assistant or Matter-compatible platforms, SONOFF has opened pre-orders on the NSPanel Pro Gen2, a wall-mounted touchscreen panel that also functions as a Zigbee 3.0 hub, Matter bridge, and dual-channel relay controller. The Gen2 brings several meaningful upgrades over the original NSPanel Pro, including quadrupled storage (32GB eMMC, up from 8GB), dual-band WiFi, a newer Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 Zigbee radio replacing the older MG21, and a louder 1.5W speaker for voice interaction.
Under the 3.95-inch capacitive touchscreen (480x480 resolution) sits a Rockchip RK3326-S quad-core Cortex-A35 processor at 1.5 GHz paired with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, running Android with F-Droid app store access. The panel fits a standard 86 x 86 mm (3.4 x 3.4 inch) wall box and integrates a digital microphone for intercom use, plus light and proximity sensors for automatic brightness adjustment and wake-on-approach. Its dual-gang relay handles up to 5A per channel (10A total on resistive loads), letting the panel directly switch lighting or small appliances without extra relay modules in the circuit.
The software side is where things get interesting for the open source crowd. Beyond its native eWelink integration, the Gen2 works with Home Assistant, Google Home, Apple Home, and Amazon Alexa. Its built-in Matter bridge can expose connected SONOFF and third-party WiFi and Zigbee devices to any Matter-compatible controller, and the panel can operate as either a Zigbee hub or a Zigbee router depending on your network topology. Theme customization, smart camera integration for video doorbell functionality, and energy monitoring round out the feature set.
The NSPanel Pro Gen2 is available for pre-order at $116.90 (€110) in white or dim gray, with shipping expected to begin by 2026-06-15. An optional desk enclosure sells for $9.90 (€9) for those who prefer a freestanding tabletop display over a wall installation.
