Valve has pushed Proton 11.0-2e, a minor hotfix for its Windows compatibility layer that addresses two bugs affecting the EA App Launcher on Linux. The first fix resolves an issue where the EA App login window would not receive proper focus when running under Gamescope, Valve's SteamOS compositor that also sees wide use on desktop Linux. The second corrects EA App titles failing to display the correct splash image during launch.

It is a narrow patch, but the Gamescope focus fix matters for Steam Deck users, where Gamescope is the default compositing layer, and anyone running EA titles through Gamescope on desktop Linux. Proton 11.0-2e is available now through Steam's compatibility tool settings.
