Valve and CodeWeavers have released Proton 11.0-2e, a targeted update that addresses two EA App issues affecting Steam Play on Linux. The fixes are particularly relevant for Steam Deck and Steam Machine users who rely on Gamescope, Valve's micro-compositor, to manage game sessions.

The update resolves a bug where the EA App Launcher login window failed to receive proper focus when running under Gamescope, which could leave users unable to interact with the login prompt without workarounds. A second fix corrects splash images for EA App titles that were not displaying correctly. Both issues stem from EA App, the launcher that replaced Origin as Electronic Arts' digital distribution platform.

Proton 11.0-2e is built on Wine and sits downstream of the broader Proton 11.0 branch. The release is available now through Steam's compatibility tool settings or directly from the Proton GitHub repository.
