Xiaomi's Poco brand has launched the X8 Pro Max in India, a mid-range smartphone headlined by a massive 9,000mAh silicone-carbon battery and MediaTek's latest 3nm Dimensity 9500s chipset. The company claims the device achieves over 3 million points on AnTuTu benchmarks, positioning it as a performance-focused option in its price segment.
The Poco X8 Pro Max features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display running at 2,772 x 1,280 pixels with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,840 Hz PWM dimming. The screen reaches up to 3,500 nits peak brightness at 25% APL and comes protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. On the imaging side, the phone pairs a 50MP Light Fusion 600 sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while a 20MP Samsung OV20B sensor handles front-facing duties.
The device ships with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Its 9,000mAh battery supports 100W fast charging and 27W reverse charging, making it the second largest battery capacity in a commercially available smartphone. Early Bird pricing starts at $429 (€395) for the 256 GB model and $459 (€422) for the 512 GB variant, with standard pricing set at $469 (€431) and $529 (€487) respectively.
