Netrunner 26, codenamed "Twilight," landed on 2026-04-02 as the project's first release built on Debian 13 "Trixie." The KDE-focused distribution ships a newer kernel than its upstream base — Linux 6.16.12 versus Trixie's default 6.12 — and adopts XLibre as its X11 server implementation in place of the traditional X.Org server, with Plasma's X11 session running on top of it.

The release brings KDE Plasma 6.3.6 alongside KDE Frameworks 6.13.0, with audio handled by PipeWire and WirePlumber. Security improvements include storing /tmp in RAM rather than on disk. Hardware support has been refreshed for recent AMD and Intel GPUs, along with newer sound and wireless chipsets. Netrunner-specific components received Qt 6 and KF6 rewrites, including Samba-mounter, an updated SDDM theme, and the About-extended KCM module. The release also bundles Stacher7, a graphical front-end for yt-dlp, and adds power-profiles-daemon for dynamic performance switching. Firefox and LibreOffice translations cover English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Polish, Russian, Turkish, and both simplified and traditional Chinese.

The download is a single 3,224 MB 64-bit ISO image available from the project's own servers.
