Minisforum is now taking pre-orders for the AtomMan G1 Pro, a compact desktop that squeezes serious gaming hardware into a chassis measuring just 31.5 cm x 21.5 cm x 5.7 cm (12.4 inches x 8.5 inches x 2.2 inches). The system combines an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX processor with 16 cores and 32 threads alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 discrete GPU, delivering desktop graphics performance in a form factor that resembles a game console more than a traditional PC.
The Ryzen 9 8945HX can be configured to run at 60W, 80W, or 100W performance modes, while the RTX 5060 features 8GB of RAM and a 145W power ceiling. Despite the compact design, Minisforum managed to fit a 350W power supply inside the case along with a cooling system featuring multiple 3,600 RPM fans and five copper heat pipes with exhaust vents on both sides. The GPU supports up to four simultaneous 4K displays through a combination of two DisplayPort 2.1b outputs, one DisplayPort 1.4a, and two HDMI 2.1 ports.
Connectivity includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports (10 Gbps, data only), three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, 5 GbE Ethernet, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. The system features two SODIMM slots supporting up to 96GB of DDR5-5200 memory and two M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe storage. The pre-configured model with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD carries a list price of $1,800 (€1,656) but is available during the pre-order period for $1,440 (€1,324). A barebones version is listed at $1,300 (€1,195), reduced to $1,040 (€956) for pre-orders, though it currently shows as out of stock.
The G1 Pro is expected to begin shipping in early January 2025. More details are available on the Minisforum website.
