Lenovo has released the IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 (15IPH11), a 15.3-inch convertible laptop powered by Intel's Panther Lake processors. The device shares most of its hardware with the recently launched AMD-powered 15AGP11 model, but several key differences set them apart.
The most notable limitation is the 15IPH11's use of HDMI 1.4b instead of the HDMI 2.1 port found in its AMD counterpart. This restricts external display output to 4K at 30 Hz through HDMI, a significant downgrade from the 15AGP11's capabilities. On the battery life front, the Intel model reportedly delivers up to 25% longer runtime when streaming local video on its optional 165 Hz, 1,100-nit, 2.5K OLED display. However, with Lenovo's default 1200p IPS panel, the 15IPH11 suffers a 10% battery life deficit compared to the AMD version.
Pricing starts at $849 (€781) in the US, $1,149 (€1,058) in Canada, and AUD 2,099 (€1,220) in Australia. The laptop offers configuration options including the high-brightness OLED display, though the HDMI port limitation may be a dealbreaker for users who frequently connect to external monitors at higher refresh rates.
