KDE Plasma 6.7.3 ships a regression fix that restores triple buffering for NVIDIA GPUs in KWin, resolving a performance issue introduced during the 6.7 cycle. The point release, announced on 2026-07-15, also patches a use-after-free vulnerability in shared calendar event plugins and fixes screens failing to wake from DPMS sleep. Smaller fixes address timezone offsets in the Digital Clock widget, preview sounds not playing in the Sound Theme settings, and spacing issues in Klipper's shortcut configuration. The full changelog covers roughly two weeks of fixes and translation updates.

Plasma 6.7 landed in June 2026 with per-screen virtual desktops, closing a feature request that had been open for 21 years. That release also introduced Union, a preview of KDE's next-generation theming engine, alongside a revived Air theme and an instant light/dark Global Theme toggle. The System Tray picked up support for Flatpak's Background Apps API, and the virtual keyboard now shows accent and special character variants on press-and-hold.

Plasma 6.7.3 is available now through distribution repositories. Feedback can go to the KDE Forums or the #Plasma Matrix channel.
