Huawei is gearing up for a global product launch event in Madrid on 2026-02-26, bringing several devices that have already proven popular in China to European markets. The star of the lineup is the Mate 80 Pro, a flagship smartphone powered by Huawei's in-house Kirin 9030 processor. The device features a 6.75-inch OLED display capable of hitting 8,000 nits peak brightness, a versatile quad-camera system with a 50 MP main sensor and variable f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture, and a 5,750 mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. It runs HarmonyOS 6 and notably includes Beidou satellite messaging for emergency communication in areas without cellular coverage.
Also making its debut is the Huawei Watch GT Runner 2, a smartwatch aimed squarely at serious runners. Huawei is emphasizing high GPS accuracy and advanced running metrics, building on the original GT Runner's reputation for heart rate monitoring and training insights. The company has partnered with the dsm-firmenich Running Team, which includes marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, to develop its latest running wearable technology. A new Huawei Band 11 series will join the wearable lineup as well.
Rounding out the announcements is the Huawei MatePad Mini, an 8.8-inch tablet positioned as a direct competitor to Apple's iPad Mini. European pricing for all devices remains unannounced, with Huawei expected to reveal details at the Madrid event.
