Hisense is bringing its high-end TV technology to gaming monitors with two new mini-LED displays announced at AWE2026 in China. The Hisense UX features a true RGB mini-LED backlight with 2,304 local dimming zones and up to 6,912 color control zones, delivering 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut. The monitor includes the Hisense H7 AI image processing chip and Obsidian Screen coating, similar to the company's E8S Pro RGB-MiniLED TV.

Unlike traditional mini-LED displays that use white or blue LEDs with color filters, RGB mini-LED places individually controlled red, green, and blue diodes within each LED. This enables precise control over both brightness and color, producing purer and more vibrant colors with less halo effect around bright objects. When displaying blue content, only the blue diodes light up, eliminating energy loss through color filtering.

Alongside the UX, Hisense showcased the GX Ultra with a 5K mini-LED panel that switches between 5K at 165 Hz and QHD at 330 Hz. The GX Ultra also features 2,304 dimming zones, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and a full bandwidth DisplayPort 2.1 port. Both monitors use the Obsidian screen coating to reduce reflections.

Hisense has not announced pricing or release dates for the UX and GX Ultra gaming monitors. Additional specifications will be revealed later in 2026.
