Google has officially confirmed the Pixel 10a is on the way, sharing a teaser video that reveals a design strikingly similar to last year's Pixel 9a. Pre-orders open on 2026-02-18, though the company is keeping pricing and detailed specifications under wraps for now.

The most notable rumor swirling around the Pixel 10a is that it may break from tradition by not sharing the same processor as its flagship siblings. According to Android Authority, while the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold all pack the new Tensor G5 chip, the Pixel 10a could stick with the Tensor G4 found in the Pixel 9 series. If true, this would mark the first time Google's budget-friendly A-series hasn't matched the processor of its premium counterparts. The phone would still receive seven years of software updates, but might miss out on certain AI features exclusive to newer silicon.

Other leaks suggest the Pixel 10a will carry over the same 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage options from its predecessor. The most visible hardware change appears to be the dual rear camera system, which now sits flush with the back of the phone rather than protruding in a small bump. Color options may also differ from the Pixel 9a. With pre-orders just around the corner, anyone eyeing the older model might want to act quickly, as the Pixel 9a could offer nearly identical hardware at a discount while supplies last.
