Geekom, a company that built its reputation on compact desktops, is deepening its push into laptops with the GeekBook M14, a 14-inch ultraportable now available in the US with both AMD and Intel processor configurations. First shown at CES 2026 as primarily an AMD-powered machine, the production model ships in two variants: one with AMD's Ryzen 5 220 paired with 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD, and another carrying Intel's Core Ultra 5 125U with 16 GB and 512 GB of storage. Both sit inside a chassis weighing 1.4 kg (3.1 lbs) and measuring 16.8 mm (0.66 inches) thick.
The Ryzen 5 220 is a Hawk Point part combining two Zen 4 and four Zen 4c cores across 12 threads, boosting to 4.9 GHz with a Radeon 740M iGPU. AMD rates the chip at 28 W TDP, though Geekom says the M14's IceBlade 3.0 dual-fan cooling can sustain up to 35 W under load. The Intel option is a 12-core Meteor Lake chip topping out at 4.3 GHz with integrated Xe graphics. Both benefit from a 72 Wh battery rated for up to 17 hours and a 100 W USB-C PD charger.
Connectivity covers the essentials for a modern ultraportable: USB4 at 40 Gbps, a second full-function USB-C port, HDMI 2.0, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Geekom includes a docking station in the box alongside a 1080p webcam, fingerprint reader, and a 180-degree hinge. The 14-inch 16:10 display's resolution is currently unconfirmed, as Geekom's product page still lists specifications from the larger M16 model.
Linux users eyeing the M14 can take some cues from early testing of its sibling, the GeekBook M16. Reviews of that machine found Fedora and Arch-based distributions running without issues, though Ubuntu 26.04 LTS refused to boot on the hardware. Geekom already sells several mini PCs with Linux preinstalled, so the company is familiar with the platform even if this laptop ships with Windows.
The Ryzen 5 configuration starts at $999 (€920) and the Core Ultra 5 model at $1,199 (€1,100), both available now through Geekom's US store with the docking station included.
