Beelink is taking pre-orders for the SER10 Max, a compact desktop powered by AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor. The 12-core, 24-thread chip uses AMD's Zen 5 architecture and pairs with Radeon 890M integrated graphics featuring 16 compute units. What sets this mini PC apart from the usual fare is its connectivity: a 40 Gbps USB4 port with DisplayPort alt mode and power delivery, plus a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port that should appeal to anyone running network-intensive workloads or home server duties.
The base configuration ships with 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage for $1,260 (€1,160), while a 64GB/1TB variant jumps to $1,700 (€1,565). Both models include two SODIMM slots and two M.2 2280 slots for future upgrades. Cooling comes from a vapor chamber system with dedicated SSD heatsink, housed in a metal chassis. Wireless connectivity is handled by an Intel AX200 card supporting WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Port selection is generous for the form factor, including one USB4 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, DisplayPort 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a three-year warranty. Pre-orders are open now with shipments expected to begin in March 2025.
For self-hosters and home lab enthusiasts, the SER10 Max checks the right boxes for running Proxmox, TrueNAS, or Unraid as a compact virtualization host. The Radeon 890M integrated graphics run well on Linux with AMD's open-source AMDGPU driver stack, enabling hardware transcoding for Jellyfin or Plex media servers. The 10 Gigabit Ethernet port is a standout feature for NAS or backup server duties, and the Intel AX200 WiFi adapter has mature Linux kernel support via iwlwifi. Previous Beelink SER models have been popular choices in the Proxmox and Home Assistant communities, and the SER10 Max should follow suit for users looking to consolidate VMs, containers, and smart home automation into a single low-power node.
