Asus has officially launched the ExpertCenter PN55, a compact mini PC powered by AMD's Ryzen AI 400 series processors with integrated Radeon 800M graphics. First announced at CES in January, the system supports up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 memory across two SODIMM slots and dual M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs. While the mini PC isn't yet available for purchase, Asus has released complete specifications showing eight different processor configurations.
Processor options range from the entry-level Ryzen AI 5 430 with 4 cores, 8 threads, and Radeon 840M graphics to the high-performance Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 featuring 12 cores, 24 threads, and 16-core Radeon 890M graphics. The lineup also includes Ryzen PRO variants (AI 7 PRO 450 and AI 5 PRO 440) for enterprise deployments. All processors run at configurable TDP levels between 40W and 45W depending on the model. For Linux users, AMD announced ROCm 7.2 support for the Ryzen AI 400 series at CES 2026, bringing official AI acceleration support to both Windows and Linux. The Radeon 890M graphics require Linux kernel 6.10 or newer and Mesa 24.2 or later for optimal RDNA 3.5 support.
The aluminum chassis measures 13 cm x 13 cm x 3.4 cm (5.1 inches x 5.1 inches x 1.3 inches) and weighs 530 g (1.2 lbs). Asus designed the case with toolless access for easy memory and storage upgrades. Wireless connectivity includes options for either MediaTek MT7922 (WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4) or MT7925 (WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4) cards. The system includes features typically found in laptops, such as a built-in mono speaker, digital microphone, and fingerprint sensor.
Port selection includes one 40 Gbps USB4 Type-C port with DisplayPort 2.1 and 100W power delivery support, multiple 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, and one HDMI 2.1 port. Asus will offer both barebones kits (without pre-installed memory or storage) and fully configured models with a 120W power adapter. The system supports Windows 11 Home, Pro, and IoT Enterprise editions.
