Bazzite, the Fedora-based Linux distribution designed for gaming handhelds and desktops, released its daily unstable build on 2026-04-02 with a range of package updates across its core gaming stack. The update brings Linux kernel 6.19.10, Mesa 26.0.3 for graphics drivers, and incremental version bumps to several gaming-focused components including Gamescope 137 and OpenGamepadUI 0.45.0.

The new build includes updated Nvidia drivers with the open kernel module at version 595.58.03 and the long-term support driver at 580.142. Desktop environments also received updates, with GNOME 49.6 and KDE Plasma 6.6.3 included in the release. The distribution ships with firmware package 20260309 and maintains its SteamOS-compatible gaming session environment through Gamescope Session and InputPlumber 0.75.2.

One notable change in this build restores the setup process for Sunshine, the open source game streaming server, after it was previously removed from the distribution. The update also includes routine maintenance updates to system components like Perl 5.42.2, crun 1.27 for container runtime, and various desktop environment packages. Users on the unstable branch can rebase to this version using the bazzite-rollback-helper tool included with the distribution.
