Analogue is revisiting its 16-bit lineup with the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+, a pair of updated FPGA consoles built around an Altera Cyclone V chip that plays original SNES and Sega Genesis cartridges at hardware-level accuracy with zero lag. The biggest upgrade over the 2018 and 2019 originals is built-in Bluetooth and 2.4G wireless, letting players pair up to two wireless gamepads or 8BitDo arcade sticks without plug-in receivers. Both machines also swap the legacy power connector for USB-C and include a 30W GaN PD 3.0 worldwide power supply in the box.

The Super Nt+ handles more than 2,200 Super NES and Super Famicom cartridges region-free across NTSC and PAL formats, while the Mega Sg+ covers over 2,180 Sega Genesis, Mega Drive, and Master System titles out of the box. Both consoles output at 1080p over HDMI with 48 kHz 16-bit digital audio and support hot-swappable cartridges, so there is no need to power down between games. A USB-A port provides DAC support for analog video output, and an onboard SD card slot handles firmware updates.

Neither console carries over openFPGA, the open-source development framework Analogue built for the Pocket handheld that lets third parties write and distribute their own cores. That ecosystem remains specific to Pocket, and Analogue has not added it to the Super Nt+ or Mega Sg+. The original Super Nt and Mega Sg have instead relied on community-built alternatives for years, namely SmokeMonsterPacks' Super NT Jailbreak and Mega Sg Jailbreak custom firmware, which load ROMs directly from an SD card and, on the Mega Sg, extend playback to Master System, Game Gear, and ColecoVision formats. Whether those projects will be adapted to the new revisions isn't yet known, since Analogue hasn't detailed any changes to the FPGA core that would affect compatibility.

The Super Nt+ comes in three colorways (classic, SF, and black) while the Mega Sg+ ships in three regional shell designs for the USA, Europe, and Japan markets. Both consoles are priced at $220 (€202) each, with pre-orders having opened on 2026-10-19 at Analogue's website. Shipping is expected to begin in December 2026, though given Analogue's history of fast sellouts, securing a unit in the first wave may already be a tall order.
