Xiaomi's budget gaming monitor lineup just got a little sharper. The Redmi Monitor G27U 2026 is a refreshed take on last year's model, keeping the 27-inch IPS panel and its headline feature: LG Display's Dual Mode technology, which lets users toggle between native 4K output at 160 Hz and a 1080p mode that pushes the refresh rate to 320 Hz. For competitive gaming sessions where response time matters more than pixel density, that flexibility is a genuine selling point.
The connectivity story remains strong, with DisplayPort 2.1 running at 54 Gbps and HDMI 2.1 carrying over from the 2025 edition. Xiaomi hasn't detailed every change between generations, but the visible updates include a redesigned stand and refreshed rear panel. The dual-mode approach puts it in the same category as monitors like the ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG, which offers the same 4K/160 Hz and 1080p/320 Hz split.
Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Monitor G27U 2026 at CNY 1,499, roughly $220 (€200), which is about $15 (€14) less than last year's model launched at. For a 4K panel with dual-mode refresh rates and modern display inputs, the monitor continues to undercut much of the competition on price.
