MooInk V Introduces First Foldable E Ink eBook Reader at Touch Taiwan Exhibition

The MooInk V, a groundbreaking eBook reader featuring an 8-inch E Ink Gallery color display, made its debut at the Touch Taiwan Exhibition this week. Developed by Readmoo in collaboration with E Ink, this innovative device is the first of its kind to incorporate a foldable design similar to a book.
When folded, the MooInk V is compact enough to fit into a suit jacket or jeans pocket, while its unfolded state provides a generous screen area suitable for various content types, including textbooks, comics, and picture books. Weighing approximately 255 grams, the eReader is designed with an aluminum magnesium case finished in silver metallic paint, ensuring a lightweight and portable form factor.
Unlike many devices that utilize OLED technology, the MooInk V employs an E Ink screen, providing a paper-like reading experience. This technology is known for its low power consumption and visibility in ambient light. The E Ink Gallery Panel has undergone extensive development, including multiple material optimizations and rigorous testing, ensuring durability and flexibility.
E Ink Gallery displays surpass the capabilities of the more commonly used Kaleido technology, offering better color saturation and sharper text and graphics. The MooInk V supports up to 50,000 colors and achieves resolutions of up to 300 pixels per inch, although it does have a lower refresh rate compared to other display technologies.
As of now, Readmoo has not disclosed the availability or pricing of the MooInk V. For more information, you can visit the official Readmoo website.
