MINISFORUM MS-01: A Compact Workstation with 10 GbE Ethernet, 3 M.2 Slots, and Core i9-13900H
Mini PC maker MINISFORUM has released the MINISFORUM MS-01, its first “Mini WorkStation” computer. Priced at $549 and up, the MS-01 offers a range of features at a more affordable price compared to similar workstations from other companies.
The MS-01 comes in four pricing/configurations options, including barebones models and models with Core i9-12900H or Core i9-13900H processors, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. The compact workstation measures 196 x 189 x 48mm, making it small by workstation standards but larger than other MINISFORUM computers.
The MS-01 offers a variety of networking, connectivity, and expansion features. It includes 2 x 10 GbE Ethernet ports, 2 x 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports, 1 x HDMI 2.0 port, 2 x USB4 ports, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and 1 x 3.5mm audio port. It also supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
The computer features a PCIe x16 slot that can be used for additional M.2, network, or USB capabilities, or for a PCIe 4.0 x8 half-height graphics card. It supports up to an NVIDIA RTX A2000 discrete GPU. The MS-01 has fan active cooling and offers enough cooling power to allow stable performance at up to 80 watts. It can support up to three SSDs, with options for PCIe Gen 4 and Gen 3 ports, as well as an optional U.2 NVMe SSD. It also has two SODIMM slots for up to 64GB of DDR5-5200 memory.
