AOOSTAR GEM12 Mini PC Launches with Dual 2.5 GbE Connectivity and Ryzen Processor Options
AOOSTAR has introduced the GEM12, a compact mini PC that doesn’t skimp on performance or connectivity. This 5.1" x 5.1" x 2.4" computer distinguishes itself with multiple options for AMD processors, including the Ryzen 9 6900HX, Ryzen 7 7840HS, and the Ryzen 7 8845HS. The GEM12 supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and dual M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 SSDs for storage.
The GEM12’s external features are pretty impressive, boasting an OCuLink port capable of 63 Gbps connections, which can be utilized for external graphics docks or other high-speed peripherals. It also includes two 2.5 GbE LAN ports for enhanced network connectivity. The mini PC’s metal chassis can be enhanced with an optional status LCD display on the GEM12 Pro models.
The GEM12 is now available globally, with pre-orders starting earlier this month in China. It comes in three main configurations, starting at $339 for a barebones model with a Ryzen 9 6900HX processor, $429 for the Ryzen 7 7840HS option, and $469 for the top-tier Ryzen 7 8845HS variant. Customers can opt for configurations that include memory, storage, and Windows 11 Pro, with 16GB/512GB and 32GB/1TB variants available.
Cooling is managed by a combination of a fan and a vapor chamber heat sink, ensuring efficient heat dissipation even under heavy loads. Security and convenience features include a fingerprint sensor for biometric logins and support for up to four displays via HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB4, and USB 3.x Type-C video output ports. The GEM12 also provides ample connectivity with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 support.
The AOOSTAR GEM12 is set to ship on April 20, 2024, offering a versatile and powerful computing solution for users who require high performance in a compact size.
