Geekom has launched the A5 Pro 2026 Edition mini PC, but the new model offers no meaningful hardware improvements over the previous version released in January 2026. The updated system features the AMD Ryzen 5 7530U processor, which is essentially a rebadged Ryzen 5 5625U from the Barcelo-U lineup. The earlier A5 Pro packed the Ryzen 5 7430U, also identical to the 5625U, making this a lateral move at best.

The 6-core, 12-thread processor runs at up to 4.5 GHz and includes Radeon Vega 7 integrated graphics. The base configuration ships with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD, with expansion options up to 64 GB of RAM and 3 TB of storage. Geekom retained the same port layout, including three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with DisplayPort Alt mode, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, dual HDMI 2.0 outputs, a 2.5G Ethernet jack, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an SD card reader. The system supports quad-display setups and includes WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The A5 Pro 2026 Edition measures 11.2 cm (4.4 inches) square and 3.7 cm (1.5 inches) tall, housed in an aluminum chassis. Geekom's IceBlast 3.0 cooling system keeps noise levels below 30 dB under load. The mini PC ships with Windows 11 Pro and a three-year warranty.

Linux compatibility is solid, as recent testing with Ubuntu 25.10 confirmed. The installation proceeded smoothly with no major issues, and performance matched Windows 11 Pro levels across benchmarks. The hardware worked out of the box with Linux kernel 6.17, including quad-display support and full 2.5GbE and WiFi 6 functionality. For homelab users, the A5 Pro also handles Proxmox VE 8.4 without additional drivers, with internal SSDs and network interfaces detected automatically.

Geekom currently offers the 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD configuration at $569 (€524), though the previous model with identical specifications sells for $549 (€505), making the older version the better value.
